Randomised Controlled Trial Volunteer Family Connect (VFC)

Professor Jacqueline Barnes is working with researchers in Australia at Macquarie University, Sydney and Western Sydney  University to conduct a randomised controlled trial of Volunteer Family Connect, a volunteer home visiting support service for vulnerable families with young children .  The work is being carried out in conjunction with three charitable organisations: Save the Children (previously Good Beginnings), the Benevolent Society and Karitane, who have worked together to develop a common best practice model of volunteer home visiting. The research is taking place in New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania and Victoria.
